Job Announcement : Foreign Expert (1 position)

The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education (LSEd) at Thammasat University endeavors to build a learning community and develop a society where people can grow both intellectually and spiritually. The faculty is committed to searching for new knowledge and disseminating research findings, furthering academic progress and academic services for the benefit of society.


We are urgently seeking one (1) person for the full-time position of Foreign Expert. Core duties consist of teaching English at Thammasat Secondary School (lower secondary, mathayom 1–3), managing and developing curriculum, and conducting research. Additional tasks include international program administration, international trainings, and workshop coordination. For more details, please see the full list of Foreign Expert responsibilities



1. Individuals of all nationalities are invited to apply

2. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, English, Literature, Linguistics, Psychology, or related field

3. TEFL/TESL/TESOL certification or relevant experience teaching English as an additional language

4. Experience with teaching and instructional design at the secondary level

5. Experience conducting scholarly research (preferably in education, language learning, or instructional design)


Skills and abilities:

1. Excellent spoken and written English, with ability to adjust language difficulty to audience

2. Ability to work with a wide range of different people, from secondary school students to senior academics

3. Open-mindedness and cross-cultural communication skills

4. Excellent time-management and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple competing responsibilities at once

5. Ability to embrace change, adapting quickly and easily in uncertain and constantly shifting conditions

6. Outstanding teamwork skills (team teaching experience would be an asset)

7. Skills in additional languages, especially Thai, would be an asset

Salary: 41,770 THB per month (including housing allowance of 8,000 THB)
