Bualuang Korkankru Project is implemented by the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education, Thammasat University, in collaboration with Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited and a network of partner organizations working in education and human development across diverse contexts. The project aims to contribute to the improvement of Thai education, beginning with teachers as key agents of change and extending to learners.
The Bualuang Korkankru Project was launched in 2019 under the name “Bualuang Korkankru Project: Inspiring Teachers, Igniting Learning.” It was inspired by the teacher development model of the Korkankru Project, consisting of four modules: Module 1: Teachers Are Human — Exploring the Inner Landscape of Teaching; Module 2: Core Korkankru Courses; Module 3: Teachers as Facilitators; and Module 4: Teachers Who Let Their Light Shine. The target group was 100 teachers nationwide under the support of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited.
From 2020 to 2023, the project was continued as the “Bualuang Korkankru Project: Developing Learning Ecosystems,” with the aim of developing Thai education in alignment with the contexts of communities, parents, schools, and stakeholders connected to each school, collectively referred to as the “learning ecosystem.” One area of focus was Udon Thani Province, where eight schools under the project’s support participated in research and development processes to generate knowledge and identify pathways toward the goals defined by each school through four strategies:
