Establishment

The education system in Thailand has undergone significant changes in the past decade. On average, more than one out of four budgets is allocated to education. However, both international and national assessments of academic performance indicate a declining trend in the quality of education in Thailand. This is due to the existing education system not providing opportunities for students to develop analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities, as well as not being able to prepare them for facing daily challenges in life and the importance of contributing to society.

Thammasat University recognizes the necessity of involvement in solving this problem and established the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education on September 29, 2014, with a vision of striving for a society of learning and mutual growth.

The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education is a learning community that values acceptance and understanding between teachers and students through theory and practice, connected with the humanity of leading to a learning society that nurtures intellectual and spiritual growth.

The faculty members consist of various experts in different fields, such as science and technology, mathematics, education, behavioral science, social science, humanities, and art, who are dedicated to creating a learning space that combines science and art, integrates technology and social sciences, and inspires creativity and imagination for learning.
