Creating sustainable social change with an environmentally conscious heart.
The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education, Thammasat University, is committed to driving participatory and sustainable social change (social responsibility and collective change) toward becoming a Green Faculty -- a Green Office certified to the standards of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, the first of its kind at Thammasat University.
The Faculty established its Green Office working committee on March 29, 2022, to drive social change and build a strong management foundation for preventing and addressing environmental issues. The committee is organized into 6 categories under the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion's standard framework, each with its own role:

Sets policy, plans operations, and continuously improves the Faculty's environmental policy sustainably.
Handles communication and environmental awareness-building for the Faculty community through media, training, and learning communities.
Oversees the resourceful and valuable use of the Faculty's resources and energy.
Manages the Faculty's waste appropriately and ensures it meets legally required standards.
Oversees the Faculty's environment, livability, cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.
Ensures the Faculty's procurement of goods and services is environmentally friendly.
Thammasat University's first “Green Faculty.” In 2022, the Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education received the Excellent (Gold) level Green Office award from the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment -- the first faculty-level unit at Thammasat University to meet the “Green Office” standard.
Resources and energy are essential to everything the Faculty does. The Green Office committee sets shared practices to use resources and energy as efficiently and beneficially as possible, by monitoring and managing water, electricity, fuel, paper, ink, stationery, and other office supplies to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability. The committee also encourages staff to shift from printed to electronic communication for meetings, exhibitions, and other materials.
