A program that cultivates holistic human potential and well-being developers, grounded in multidisciplinary knowledge and experiential learning.
In a rapidly changing and increasingly complex world — economically, socially, and environmentally — societies face growing vulnerability, unpredictability, an aging population, rapid technological advances, environmental crises, and social conflict, all of which challenge the physical, mental, and social well-being of people of every age.
To address this, the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework has been proposed to cultivate inner skills such as self-awareness (Being), deep thinking (Thinking), relationships (Relating), collaboration (Collaborating), and taking action (Acting) — all essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Public and private organizations alike now recognize the importance of developing holistic human capital: not just knowledge and skills, but physical-mental well-being, emotional resilience, and embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) — matching a new generation's growing interest in psychology, self-development, and well-being.
The Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education, Thammasat University, is a leader in active, multidisciplinary learning and human potential development through experiential teaching, research, and academic service, working with external partner organizations to build professionals who can navigate change and drive sustainable social progress.
Building on this foundation, the Faculty developed the Bachelor of Arts in Human Potential and Well-being, integrating knowledge from diverse fields — human potential development, neuroscience, organizational and social well-being, psychology, social equity, arts/drama/music therapy, nature-based therapy, and learning facilitation — to meet the needs of a changing world and prepare graduates as key contributors to 21st-century society.
This program cultivates "holistic human potential and well-being developers" — well-rounded professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills to address challenges at both the individual and organizational level, and to build genuine physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being, with the adaptability, self-confidence, and emotional maturity to thrive in a changing society and environment.
